BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - 11 area high school teams hit the floor in second round Central Section volleyball playoff action.
Top-seeded Liberty and Centennial, which defeated Frontier in five grueling games, will meet next Tuesday in one Division I semifinal. Bakersfield was eliminated in five games by Buchanan.
Division II saw Tehachapi advance.
Chavez and Highland went down in Division III, but after losing the first game, third-seeded Ridgeview rebounded to defeat Tulare Mission-Oak in five games.
Fourth-seeded Taft and second-seeded Bakersfield Christian were eilminated in Division IV action.
