BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - High-profile Liberty football players Corbin Jountti and Cole Mazza head a list of high school ballers who signed letters-of-intent on National Signing Day Wednesday.

Jountti, who gained a thousand yards each of the past two seasons with the Patriots,  will head to Northern Arizona, while Mazza, an offensive lineman, heads to Tuscaloosa to be long-snapper for the two-time defending national champion Alabama Crimson Tide and head coach Nick Saban.

Also signing for Liberty was standout soccer player Dakota Baze, who's heading to Hawaii-Hilo.

Other local standouts signing letters-of-intent were Ridgeview quarterback Kamari Cotton-Moya, who's headed to Iowa State.  Garces featured four signees, including soccer player Cassidy Taylor (CSUB), football center Kioni Taylor (San Jose State), diver Noelle Farrer (Fresno State) and Cassie Handel in softball (Vanguard).

BHS track standout Evan Bowman is headed to Mt. Mercy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
