BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Ridgeview girls basketball team lost the SoCal Regional Final last Saturday to Lynwood High but Kern County fans got to see a glimpse of the future when they watched Lynwood point guard Alize Lofton.

Lofton scored a team-high 16 points and led her squad to a 60-42 win over the Wolfpack and Erica McCall, named the Gatorade Girls California High School Player of the Year last Thursday.

Lofton has signed to play next winter with CSUB and head coach Greg McCall, Erica's father.

If Lofton is a fraction as good as what she showed last week, Roadrunners fans will be heartily satisfied for sure.
