BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Cael Brockmeyer had three hits and three RBIs, and Scott Brattvet allowed only four hits in Cal State's 13-2, seven-inning victory over New Mexico State Friday night at Hardt Field
The game was called after seven innings to the Western Athletic Conference 10-run rule.
New Mexico State took a 1-0 lead in the second inning before the Roadrunners countered by sending 13 batters to the plate and scoring eight runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning.
Brockmeyer also scored three runs in the contest.
Cal State improved to 19-8 overall and 4-1 in WAC play. New Mexico State fell to (14-14, 1-4).
The final game of the series is Saturday afternoon in a 1pm start at Hardt Field.
