BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The South boys basketball team played well in stretches of the second half, good enough for a 63-51 Division III playoff win over Highland Wednesday night at South.
Ryan Reagor, after a slow start in the first half, worked the lane and scored six points in a key run in the third period against the Scots.
The South Yosemite League champion Rebels struggled at times against Highland's quickness, led by Tre Ayers but survived to advance to Friday's second round.
