South Sequoia League preview HS football week 8, BCHS, Wasco, Arvin, Taft, Chavez, Kennedy, Shafter

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Casey Keirnan of Friday Night Live takes you through the week that was in the South Sequoia league in week 7 and brings you up to speed on what to look for in week 8.

The headline of the SSL in week 7 was BCHS' win over Wasco 47-20. That result plus the Eagles' win over the Shafter Generals the week prior means the SSL is the Eagles' to lose. The player of the week was Brandon Jones, quarterback for Bakersfield Christian. Jones' 6 TD's in a revenge game for the Eagles over the Wasco Tigers means his TD to INT ratio is at 28/2 so far in 2013.

Week 8 looks to be an exciting one in the South Sequoia. All games take place Friday the 25th at 7:30PM. A non-league clash between BCHS and South at the Rebels' house headlines gameday. Wasco will try to bounce back hosting Taft, Arvin will be at Shafter in the race for third and Kennedy will try to pick up their first win hosting Chavez.
