BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Stephen Neal heads a list of four nominees for induction into the Bob Elias Kern County Sports Hall of Fame.
Neal won back-to-back national wrestling titles for Cal State Bakersfield in 1998 and '99 before earning three Super Bowl rings with the NFL's New England Patriots.
Centennial graduate and softball standout Megan Langenfeld earned a nomination as well. She helped lead UCLA to a Pac-10 title in 2009 and a national title in 2010.
Dr. William Baker, a Foothill High graduate and Bakersfield College football player, also was nominated, as was former NFL player Spain Musgrove Jr.
The induction ceremony will take place February 28.
