BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Stockdale co-head coaches Glenn Hager and Charles Stewart were given a great parting gift in their team's 62-48 Central Section Division I semifinal win over fifth-seeded Fresno Edison in the final home game for both coaches.
Both Hager and Stewart will retire after this season but sent the Stockdale High faithful out with one final home win to advance to Saturday's section final against second-seeded Clovis West at Selland Arena in Fresno at 6pm.
Hager and Stewart are making a habit of appearing in Fresno, as this is the seventh time in the last eight years the Mustangs have appeared in a section final.
