BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The American Heart Association partnered with Dignity Health Mercy and Memorial Hospitals to launch a new heart health campaign in Bakersfield, Thursday.
The campaign, known as Go Red Por Tú Corazón, is aimed at educating latina women about the dangers of heart disease.
According to campaign officials, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in women around the nation.
Out of 58 counties in California, Kern County is ranked 58 in the incidence of heart disease.
