ANA airlines said it will soon offer lavatories for women only on its international flights.

The company, which flies out of six cities in the U.S., will start offering the service on March 1.

It said in a news release said that it made the move after getting requests from passengers.

It said most flights would have one specially designated restroom at the rear of the plane that could be used by women from all classes. A sign with a pink outline of a woman will designate the special location.

Men would be allowed to use the lavatories for safety reasons just after takeoff or before landing, when there is a personal emergency and when there are very few women on the flight.
