As America's historical heartland, North Dakota continues to be a popular travel destination for singles, couples and families searching for a budget-friendly getaway. Whether you're looking for a quiet retreat at a bed and breakfast or a hotel in the historic downtown area, you'll find a number of affordable venues to stay in for your business or leisure visit.

C'mon Inn , in Grand Forks, has spacious and inviting rooms here are perfect for couples and large families, and all rooms are furnished with a king size bed, La-Z-Boy recliner and a 42-inch flat screen plasma television. All guests are treated to a complimentary continental breakfast each morning and can relax in the swimming pool or hot tub at the end of a busy day. The North Forks location is across the street from the Columbia Mall, and Uptake.com reports the average room rate is $80 per night.

Gladstone Inn and Suites, in Jamestown, is located across the street from the North Dakota Hall of Fame and a short drive from Jamestown College. Arnegard's Old School Bed and Breakfast, in a historic school building in downtown, was spotlighted in the HGTV program "If Walls Could Talk." Guests can enjoy a gourmet or traditional breakfast each morning, wagon rides and day trips around Arnegard, and easy access to a free golf course. Nightly rates start at $85 per room.

Settle Inn Suites , in Grand Forks, is located in the heart of the downtown business district, with easy access to area restaurants and entertainment venues and offers all the comforts of home. Guests can enjoy an indoor pool and spacious family rooms, as well as deluxe amenities such as an in-room coffee maker, breakfast service, color televisions and 24-hour coffee and tea service.
