Whether you're craving a seafood platter or a classic rib-eye steak, restaurants in North Dakota offer a variety of homemade dishes straight from the heartland.

Bismarck's East 40 Chophouse and Tavern offers an old-world setting and classic dishes in a historic steakhouse decorated with antiques. The menu includes specialties such as smoked salmon cheesecake, Burleigh onion soup and the "porter" porterhouse steak served with horseradish mashed potatoes. According to the Bismarck Visitors and Convention Bureau, the chophouse has been voted Bismarck's most romantic restaurant and serves up an "eclectic feast" for all tastes.

The restaurant has become famous for its signature martini menu with over 30 unique creations, and Monday night sushi specials that attract locals and visitors alike. Make your way to The Northern Pacific Depot, a site listed on the National Register of Historic Places, to enjoy an authentic Mexican feast at Fiesta Villa Restaurant and Lounge. The restaurant has become famous for its "Gringo Nachos" and shrimp salsa appetizers, and is also the place to try a "Southwest BBQ Fajita Burrito" or fish tacos.
