Classes canceled Thursday at Frazier Mt. High School due to Grand Fire

School used as command post by fire crews

FRAZIER PARK, Calif. - The Kern County Superintendent of Schools has announced that Frazier Mountain High School will be closed Thursday due to the Grand Fire.

The announcement was made late Wednesday.

The school's parking lot is being used as a command post & staging point for Kern County fire crews, which are battling the wildfire near Frazier Park.

The Grand Fire has burned 3,000 acres and is 10% contained.
