Three passengers taken to KMC

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Two lanes of a Bakersfield road have reopened after being blocked off for a traffic collision.

On May 6, at about 2:00 p.m., officers with the California Highway Patrol and the Kern County Fire Department went to the area of Rosedale and Fruitvale regarding a car crash.

When officers arrived, they found a person pinned in a vehicle.

Officer Scott Whittalker with the CHP said that it appeared that a Jeep Cherokee, traveling at 55 mph, had drifted and struck a large pick-up truck that was in the left turning lane.

Whittaker said the driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries. All passengers in the vehicle were taken to Kern Medical Center.
