BPD: Pot shop double homicide suspect brought in by leads from the community
Burris' bail set to $2 million

OILDALE, Calif. - The Bakersfield Police Department said the community helped them find suspect Aaron Burris at an Oildale home Friday.
After receiving leads from the community, officers went to a house in the 10 block of Wainwright Drive in Oildale at around 5 p.m. Officers were able to determine that Burris was inside home, police said.

Police said they called out to Burris for his surrender. After seven minutes, Burris exited and was taken into custody without incident.
Burris is a suspect in the double homicide and robbery that occurred at First Reliable medical marijuana collective, on Wednesday, July 17, officials said.

Burris was booked into the Kern County Jail on on charges of first-degree murder and robbery, officials said. Burris is being held on $2 million bond and will be arraigned on Tuesday, July 30.
The investigation also led to the arrest of Robert Thrower, 30, Jamie Wandick, 25, Darnell Warren, 24, Joevaughn Spencer, 23, and Danny Webster, 25 on charges of being an accessory and participation in a criminal street gang, officials said.
Detectives still are looking for the woman who they said was involved in this incident.
