TEHACHAPI, Calif. - Around 6:45 on Sunday, August 17, deputies from the Tehachapi Substation responded to a report of a man down at an industrial complex located in the 1500 block of Goodrick Drive.
When deputies arrived they found an unconscious adult male inside one of the industrial buildings occupied by BNSF Railway Company.
The victim has been identified as 38-year-old Robert Limon.
Deputies said Limon was suffering from obvious trauma to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Limon was an employee of BNSF Railway Company and had returned to a shop at the BNSF office after working in the field that day, according to detectives.
Detectives said he was last seen by coworkers at about 5 p.m. as he left the field to return to the shop. Evidence indicates Limon was assaulted by a suspect or suspects inside the shop shortly after arriving.
The case is being investigated as a homicide.
BNSF is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects responsible for Limon’s murder.
