BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A man charged with possession of a firearm by a felon pleaded no contest Monday.
Manuel Hernandez, 35, was released into police custody from the hospital after an incident involving a 16-year-old who was accused of stabbing him.
Hernandez was interviewed by detectives at the Bakersfield Police Department before being booked into the Kern County Jail earlier in July for violation of domestic violence, willful cruelty to a child and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
