BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Faith leaders came together Wednesday to bless the groundbreaking on a new interfaith chapel at Memorial Hospital.
Prayers and chants were used to bless the former Memorial Hospital Chapel as it is set to be re-modeled in the Monsignor Craig Harrison Interfaith Chapel.
Monsignor Craig's vision to build an open community chapel where services from all faiths can be held throughout the year.
Leaders talked about how important that welcoming feeling is to people of any faith.
Plans for the new chapel also include an interfaith library to learn about the multicultural communities and religions in Kern County.
