Tour bus overturns in Irwindale, nearly 50 injuries reported

CHP shut down 3 lanes on eastbound 210 freeway

At least five people were seriously injured after a tour bus overturns on the eastbound 210 freeway 30 miles east of Los Angeles, California Highway Patrol officials said. 
 
Officials from the Los Angeles County Fire Department said that at least 5 people were flow by helicopter to nearby trauma centers, while another 50 people suffered minor injuries. 
 
Rescuers set up a triage to help the injured people. Officials reported that most of the injuries are minor cuts and bruises.
 
The California Highway Patrol shut down three lanes of the eastbound 210 Freeway, just past the 605 Freeway, due to the crash, around 10 a.m., Thursday. 
 
The bus was carrying gamblers to an Indian casino, when it overturned on its side in the dirt between the freeway and railroad tracks. 
 
The bus, which is owned by Da Zhen Travel Agency of Monterey Park, was heading to the San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino in Highland.
