Alyssa Flores came to Bakersfield in 2017. Born and raised in southern California, she is happy to be back home in the Golden State!

As the Live Center Anchor on 23ABC's morning show, she follows stories that are trending online, developing and breaking throughout the morning. She's also reported on local government, crime, and education in Kern County.

Alyssa began her career in journalism at KFBB in Helena, Montana, reporting for TV stations across the Treasure State from the Capitol. In Montana, she covered prominent court trials, statewide elections, and the state legislature.

Alyssa graduated from California State University-Fullerton where she majored in communications with an emphasis in broadcast journalism and a minor in Spanish.

Be sure to say "Hello," or "Hola" (Spanish is her first language) if you see Alyssa around Kern County. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and all things coffee and Disney!
