As any frequent moviegoer knows, the delicious snacks — popcorn, soda, candy! — often end up costing way more than the actual movie tickets.

But if you absolutely love a bucket of buttery, fluffy popcorn and consider it part of the movie-going experience, AMC theaters have a deal that could save you some big bucks.

AMC Stubs members can purchase the 2020 Annual Refillable Popcorn Bucket for $20.99. Then, each time you go to the movie theater, you can fill up your bucket for just $4.99. And according to MovieTheaterPrices, which tracks concession prices at theaters across the country, a large popcorn could run you as much as $9!

What’s more — all AMC Stubs members receive refills of large popcorns, so after purchasing your $4.99 popcorn, you can later refill that bucket for free!

The 2020 Annual Popcorn Bucket is good for a year, so you’ll enjoy $4.99 popcorn buckets through Dec. 31, 2020.

But know this: It’s only available at participating theaters. You can check the website to find out if your most-visited theater is on the list.

There is some good discussion about the refillable bucket deal on Reddit, with some users claiming that while only the participating locations sell the buckets, you can actually use them at any AMC Theater.

And here’s another money-saving idea we discovered on Reddit: You can apparently purchase discounted vouchers for drinks and popcorn on eBay. We spotted deals for $2.50 large popcorns, for example. Who knew?

One final popcorn-related tip: The next time you go to the movie theaters and buy a big bucket of popcorn, use this genius straw trick to evenly distribute your butter! It helps get the butter to the middle and bottom layers of your popcorn.
