BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The e-commerce company Amazon has announced it will be adjusting to the high customer demand during the Coronavirus Pandemic. Amazon says they will be hiring an estimated 100,000 jobs in order to help current employees fulfill the high amount of online orders.

They have raiser worker pay by $2 in the United States, according to Amazon. The company says they will continue to provide any necessary protective gear for their employees.

Amazon says they will try to increase the capacity for grocery delivery from Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market.

"We enhanced cleaning at all Whole Foods Market stores and now open one hour early for customers who are 60+ years old in the U.S., and 70+ years old in the UK."
