BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — Bakersfield is getting another addition to the fast-food landscape. Jollibee is opening a location in the former Carl's Jr. location at 5520 Stockdale Hwy.
Jollibee, a Filipino chain of fast-food restaurants, has locations throughout Southeast Asia, the Middle East, East Asia, North America, and Europe. They have 37 restaurants in the United States, the first one opening in Daly City, California in 1998.
Jollibee is best known for its Chickenjoy, which is described on their website as "delicately hand-breaded to be crispylicious on the outside, with a secret marinade making it juicylicious on the inside."
The restaurant also serves up spaghetti, traditional Filipino noodle dishes, burgers, and more.
According to Giana Olivieri with the Olivieri Commercial Group construction began earlier this month. However, no opening date has been set yet.
