Tehachapi Denny's closed by health officials for lack of hot water

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Denny's located on Magellan Drive in Tehachapi was shutdown on Friday by officials following complaints about lack of hot water for cleaning.

According to the Kern County Health Department, the restaurant did not have hot water at critical sinks and remained in operation with no hot or warm water for cleaning equipment, utensils and washing hands.Officials said the operator of that Denny's told them that the water would drop below required levels for 30 minutes but the operator did not provide temperature logs.

The restaurant received an inspection score of 69.
