BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — The Foods Co. store on Rosedale Hwy. will be closing in January and converting to a Vallarta Supermarket.

On Friday, Food4Less released a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) announcing the planned termination of operations at the Foods Co. store. The closing will affect all 56 employees.

When contacted by 23ABC, an employee at Foods Co. said that the store was going to become a Vallarta Supermarket, but at this time they did not know if the existing employees would be moved to other Food Co. stores.

There was no timeframe provided for the switch to the new name.
