CSUB Police: Female student sexually assaulted by man she met on Tinder, officials searching for suspect

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — California State University, Bakersfield is searching for a suspect CSUB Police said assaulted a female student Wednesday.

According to a safety bulletin issued by the university, on Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. a female CSUB student met a man who was not a CSUB student at Student Housing East.

The female student met the man on the dating app Tinder.

The man was told to wait in a common area of Student Housing East while the female student went to her room.

Officials said the man then followed her into her room and sexually assaulted her. The female student resisted and the man took off. He was last seen leaving the campus on a black Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Kroll Way.

Campus police said the suspect has a first name of Brad and is described as a white man, early 30s, 5'8'', 150lbs., with multiple tattoos all over his body and face. Officials said those tattoos include dollar sign tattoos on his eye lids.

He was last seen wearing a brown jacket, white baseball cap, yellow shirt, gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes with red laces, blue or black backpack and a black helmet.
