Boys & Girls Club to receive $7K grant from Best Buy

Hopeful of exposing under-served teens to more

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield's Boys and Girls Club will receive a big donation of $7,000 from Best Buy on Thursday.

Best Buy is donating to support the Keystone Club at the Armstrong Youth Center.

"The impact of exposing teens to the world beyond their neighborhoods is that we're building their hopes and dreams while showing them the opportunities that await them,  said Barry Hill, Associate Executive Director, Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County.

"We are helping inspire teens to graduate from high school and become productive, caring and educated adults."

The Keystone Club gives under-served teens an opportunity to connect with others and promotes character, ethical leadership, good citizenship and education.
