BPD: Brisa Torres found after voluntarily running away

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — (UPDATE July 8) The Bakersfield Police Department said it has located 16-year-old Brisa Torres who is believed to have voluntarily runaway.

BPD said Torres was found Wednesday morning just after 7 a.m.

Officials said they do not believe Torres's disappearance had any relation to the Patricia Alatorre investigation.

The Bakersfield Police Department is looking for a girl who has been missing since Thursday.

BPD says 16-year-old Brisa Torres was last seen Thursday morning around 11:15 in the area of Mendocino Drive near Calloway and Brimhall.

Police say she's 5-foot-5, 125 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a burgundy hoodie and black sweatpants. Police say she has a happy face tattoo on her right ankle.

Police say she was seen getting into a white Chevy pickup.
