A Fresno County Sheriff’s deputy has died after being accidentally shot Monday afternoon.

A gun accidently went off in an office around 3:45 p.m. and wounded the deputy, according to the sheriff's office. The deputy was on duty at a business park.

He was rushed to a hospital and passed away.

Detectives are investigating the incident.
