The Golden Empire Transit Board of Directors will vote on Tuesday on a contract that was approved by employees.
GET employees previously approved a five-year deal. Part of that deal will "integrate the two tiers of employees".
According to a GET press release, "Since 2000 when GET terminated its contract with an outside contractor to provide drivers, there have been two tiers. In this contract, 37 drivers will be added to the higher tier."
There will also be a single seniority list for routes.
GET says employees approving a deal on its first vote is a first in the organization's history.
The vote will be part of the GET board's meeting, which starts at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
