The Neptune pool at Hearst Castle on the central coast of California is officially full again after being empty for four years.

In 2014, a massive crack was noticed in the pool. Every day, between 3000 and 5000 gallons of water were leaking from the pool that holds a total of 345,000 gallons. The pool was then drained.

Since 2016, plans have been in the works that involve emptying the pool, removing the tile, resealing the pool, then re-tiling the pool. Tuesday, August 15, 2018 the two-day process of refilling the pool began, officially finishing the restoring process.

The tiles used to refurbish the pool are from the same quarry where the original tiles came from in Vermont almost 100 years ago.

In addition, the deco statues surrounding the pool were also restored and reinstalled.
