McCarthy Statement on Syria
Washington, D.C. - House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement on Syria:
"I commend our troops for their professionalism in carrying out these strikes. Assad has made his disregard for innocent human life and longstanding norms against chemical weapons use crystal clear. Tonight's strikes show these evil actions carry consequences."
US officials told the Associated Press that the United States directed 60 missiles toward strategic air force targets in Syria. The missiles were reportedly fired from ships in the eastern Mediterranean. For a link to the original story, click here.
