BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death after finding remains in a home in the 1900 block of Locust Ravine in Bakersfield.

Deputies responded to the call around 3:40 p.m. Monday.

After the remains were found, detectives were called out to conduct an investigation.

The identity of the decedent is being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.
