The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in locating Porfirio Garcia-Magana.

On June 6th, 2015 at about 8:00 pm, deputies in the Lost Hills area responded to a victim of a gunshot on Farnsworth St., south of Hwy 46 in Lost Hills. When deputies arrived they located Jose Chavez-Ochoa shot to death in his vehicle.

The investigation revealed Chavez-Ochoa and Garcia-Magana had been close friends for several years prior to the shooting. During the investigation, detectives developed evidence which has led them to obtain a $1,000,000 arrest warrant for Garcia-Magana charging him with murder.

Garcia-Magana is possibly in the company of his common law wife, 38 year old Zenaida Perez and her daughter, 20 year old Martha Garcia. Perez and Garcia are persons of interest in the case.
