BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating an overnight shooting in East Bakersfield that left one person injured.

Just before 3 a.m. Saturday, officials responded to Irene Street for reports of a shooting.

According to officials they found one victim at the scene who was shot in the leg. The victim has non life threatening injuries and is expected to survive.

There is no suspect information at this time. Anyone with knowledge of the situation is asked to call KCSO at 861- 3110.
