Police: Man was stabbed, shot

ARVIN, Calif. -

Arvin police officers said they arrested three men and a woman Tuesday morning after a man was found with gunshot and knife wounds.

On Monday at about 11 p.m., the Arvin Police Department received a call regarding a person being shot in the 900 block of Meyer Street.

Officers said they found Daniel Guerrero, 43, with gunshot and knife wounds. Information was obtained that the suspects had fled the area in a vehicle. Guerrero was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.

Officials said that on Tuesday at about 12:30 a.m., the Arvin Police Department was advised by the Kern County Sheriff’s Department that deputies had stopped a vehicle with people matching the description from the shooting and stabbing of Guerrero.

Officials arrested Nicolas Zaragoza, 18, of Bakersfield, Marcos Rosales, 24, of Lamont, Luis Verduzco, 18, of Lamont, and Diana Becerra, 19, of Bakersfield on charges of attempted murder, conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang.

All four were booked into the Kern County Jail.
