BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Marketplace is a key hangout spot in Bakersfield full of restaurants, shops, and Edwards Cinemas. Soon Rocket Fizz Pop and Candy Shops will be the latest addition to the area.
According to the company's social media, construction is underway at the new location.
The company said in January they plan to open the location tentatively by April. They said they could not confirm the location at this time, but will make the announcement in the coming months when they visit Bakersfield.
Officials said the best way to stay up to date with new business is to follow their Instagram where they plan to make future announcements.
The Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shops, LLC was founded in 2007 by Robert Powells and Ryan Morgan and in 2012 Rich Shane became the company CEO.
The original "flagship" store located in Camarillo, California opened in 2009, according to the company website.
According to the website, in under five years the Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shops has become "the largest and fastest growing soda pop and candy shop franchise brand in America."
