Kern Back In Business: 10 welding jobs available this week in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Welding jobs in need to keep up with Bakersfield's growing construction demands. That's from an employment specialist at Express Employment Professionals, Christian Ramirez.

Ramirez said their client has new construction jobs in Bakersfield to keep them busy for the next three years.

“Signing a lot of contracts from now through 2022 and past 2022,” said Ramirez.

While Ramirez couldn’t say the who company is, he did say they need to hire 5 new weldersand 5 new welders helpersto meet their construction demands.

“Tuesday we’re doing open interviews," said Ramirez. "We’re just having all, you know anyone with a resume. You must have mig experience and be able to test in dorschel.”

Those open interviews will be at their office at 1400 Chester Avenue, Suite H Tuesday from 8 a.m. To 11 a.m. And 1 p.m. To 5 p.m.

Ramirez said starting salaries for those jobs will be $15 dollars an hour for welders helpers and $18 dollars an hour for welders. But could be more based on experience.

If you do well in Tuesday’s open interview and have the qualifications needed ramirez says they will set up an interview with applicants and the company for later in the week. And if all goes well a job offer could come before the end of the week.
