This weekend you will have the unique opportunity to hear "A Veteran's Voice" talking about prisoners of war and families whose loved ones are listed as missing in action.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars is hosting the annual POW/MIA recognition day on Saturday. There will be several speakers including an official from the Department of Defense. Two local POW's from World War II and the Korea War will be in attendance.
The event is being held at the Bakersfield Music Hall of Fame on R Street beginning at 3 p.m. Doors open at 2 p.m.
It is free to attend. A dinner will follow at the American Legion Hall on H Street beginning at 5 p.m. Cost for the dinner is $15.
