There's been a lot of heady stuff in the news this week so if you need a break from politics, economics, and any other -ics, Jared Cotter and Kristina Guerrero have got the craziest trending inventions on the internet you might have missed, from workouts that'll make you go "Why?" to shoes you can watch to...beef jerky?
1. Masochistic Cardio
If you've been trying to workout but can't seem to get the motivation, you might need to try the Cycflix. It connects your exercise bike to your computer so you can workout while watching Netflix - but the catch is, if you slow down or stop during your workout, Netflix won't play.
If you're interested in putting your comfortable binge watching on the line for your cardio, Creator Ronan Byrne made the instructions for setting the torture machine, er, exercise program, available here. All you'll need is a PC, USB cable, Arduino, and a few other techy components.
2. Sneaks Screens
Don't you hate it when you put your feet up on the couch and have to look all the way at your television to watch something? Now, you don't have to, thanks to Shiftwear: a sneaker with a flexible HD screen that you can display designs on with your phone and image playlists. Finally.
If you need to be, both, the fly-est person on the block and the most broke, preorder one of these sneaks for $250; then get them sent to you for, well, another $250. Look, they're cool okay - that's all that matters.
3. Jerky on the Go
For those of us that just can't get going in the morning with out a cup of joe and a stick of meat, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Seattle has finally caught on; thank goodness. For a limited time, customers there can order a cold brew...with beef jerky garnish.
