The first every Bakersfield Marathon was set to kick off at 7:10 a.m. and the half marathon set to kick off at 7:20 a.m. but because of traffic set up the marathon has been delayed.
Runners were encouraged to use the bathroom while they were waiting because it was unknown how long the delay would take.
