Kern County Fire officials are urging the Lake Isabella community to remain vigilant after a fire station was broken into on Monday, investigators said.
The Rio Bravo Hotshot Crew Quarters at Kern County Fire Department 72 in Lake Isabella was burgled sometime Monday evening, Captain Tyler Townsend said.
New security measures are being taken following the break-in.
"We ask the community to remain vigilant and report unlawful and suspicious activity to local law enforcement authorities," Townsend said in a press release.
The Kern County Sheriff's Department is investigating the burglary.
