On Wednesday, June 1st, 2016, at approximately 10:45p.m., officers of the Bakersfield
Police Department responded to the 700 block of “K” Street for a report of an assault
with a firearm.
An investigation was conducted and it was determined the victim’s, an adult male and
female, were standing to the front of a residence when they were shot.
The victim’s were transported to Kern Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The witnesses described the suspects as:
1- Black male adult early 20’s, all black clothing
2- Black male adult early 20’s, black t-shirt, red shorts
The suspects were observed fleeing in a vehicle described as:
Newer model white compact car, stock in appearance (possibly a Nissan Sentra)
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this
