RIDGECREST, Calif. — Ridgecrest Police have arrested 21-year-old Zachary Getchey under suspicion of Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property.

Police responded to reports of a van window smashed out at the Ridgecrest Cinemas Sunday afternoon. The victim reported they were missing birth certificates, social security cards, immunization cards and around $1,000.

Officers learned Getchey was a suspect on several other similar burglaries and conducted a parole search of Getchey's home.

According to police, Getchey was found in possession of several items reported stolen and a device commonly used to break windows.

Getchey's parole agent was contected and he is being held without bail due to a parole hold.
