The Northbound 110 freeway near Downtown Los Angeles is closed following an officer involved shooting.
The Los Angeles Police Department says the incident happened around midnight Tuesday after they responded to a call of a pedestrian on the freeway.

They say a California Highway Patrol officer approached the suspect on the freeway, but the suspect was uncooperative.
The LAPD says when the CHP officer went to use his taser on the suspect, an altercation occurred.
They say one or more CHP officers fired at the suspect, who was then transported to the hospital.
The extent of his injuries are unknown. No officers were injured in the shooting.
CHP says the freeway will be closed until further notice while the investigation into the shooting continues.
