The 10th Annual Pull for Hope Clay Shoot took place Saturday at 5 Dogs Range in Bakersfield.
The event, hosted by Canyon Hills Women's Ministries, raised funds for Project Rescue, which aims to fight human trafficking at both local and national levels.
"It used to be that it was only happening overseas if they gave it any thought at all," said Cynthia Giumarra, director for women's ministries.
"But we've come to know in the last number of years that it's happening globally and it's happening here in the US."
Four firearms were also auctioned off to help raise money; the grand prize was an AR-15.
California is the fourth largest destination for victims of human trafficking in the nation.
