The Kern County Fire Department currently has 127 firefighters battling wildfires around the state, according to the department's Twitter account.

49 firefighters are battling the Chimney Fire near Nacimiento Lake in San Luis Obispo County (fire is currently 10% contained.

43 are fighting the Soberanes Fire in Monterey County (60% contained).

23 local firefighters are helping with the Pilot Fire in San Bernardino County (96% contained).

8 are fighting the Mineral Fire in Fresno County (75% contained).

4 helped battle the Horseshoe Fire in Calaveras County (now 100% contained).
