Another child has been injured by a firework in Bakersfield.
The Bakersfield Fire Department said a 5-year-old boy was struck in the head by an illegal aerial firework, causing a laceration to his scalp.
This comes after two other people were injured by fireworks: A 2-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man.
BFD reported on Thursday that 81 citations have been issued for illegal fireworks usage and 625 pounds of fireworks have been seized.
