Today on the 15th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks the Bakersfield Fire Department is unveiling a special memorial dedicated to the victims that lost their lives that day.

The centerpiece of the memorial is an artifact from the World Trade Center. The 22-feet beam was brought down the day of the attacks.

The event start  at noon and will take place at 1501 Buena Vista Rd.
