Strokes are most common among adults over the age of 50, but KD Vargo has had four in the past five years starting at the age of 45. But KD never gave up, she continued to work hard to get her life back.

Mark Durando, a personal trainer and former EMT, began working with KD once her physical therapy was finished. He took his medical training and combined it with his knowledge of the body to create workout routines catered to stroke survivors.

KD is now doing more than she ever thought possible. The exercises help her with her everyday life skills and overcoming depression. Mark wants other stroke survivors to know that if they work hard and stay positive they too can make the progress that KD did.

You can see more of what Mark does on his Instagram and Facebook page!
